The Gift Processing Specialist provides assistance in processing, depositing, and reporting donor gifts and will perform his/her duties consistent with the LHM and Ministry Services plans, strategic plans, policies, and other guidelines, and with applicable law.
Major Responsibilities:
- Sort and open all US mail on a daily basis.
- Open, process, and batch donor gifts.
- Deposit batched checks via current remote deposit system.
- Accurately enter credit card donations into LHM Gift from donor calls and donor mail.
- Reconcile and prepare statement reports for all previous day transactions and submit for reference to appropriate Finance personnel.
- Prepare, submit, and transfer all automatic, recurring electronic donations.
- Answer telephone calls, helping donors when necessary and to the best of ability, taking accurate messages.
- Provide excellent customer service to all “customers” and co-workers.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support maintenance of accurate credit card and ACH donor accounts and report changes to Data Entry manager.
- Count Business Reply envelopes for return to the post office for refund.
- Provide other clerical support to the department.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Previous cash handling and/or banking experience.
- Knowledge of 10 key calculator and good math aptitude.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be dependable.
