The LCMS Foundation was established in 1958 as a stewardship ministry of the church and dedicated to the belief that the Foundation would, “be a vehicle which can, and under the blessing of God’s will, usher in a completely new era for our church.” Since that awe-filled beginning, thousands of inspired stewards, joyful in their thanks to God, have used the LCMS Foundation to plan and manage gifts that benefit their families, congregations and ministries worldwide. At the same time hundreds of LCMS congregations, as well as dozens of schools, RSOs, our two seminaries and many of the Concordia universities have trusted the LCMS Foundation to be their dedicated investment resource.

Reporting Relationships
- Reports to the Vice President Client Services
Essential Job Functions
- Provides support to the Client Services and Gift Review and Design teams.
- Responsible for the timely processing of all gifts received including receipting of incoming assets, new account set up, and new party set up.
- Reconciles principal cash settlement and prepares disbursement entries for direct and bequest gifts.
- Prepares acknowledgement, receipt and distribution letters for gifts received.
- Maintains donor and gift records in GiftLog, account management system, and electronic filing system.
- Organizes workflows, establishes priorities, and processes incoming mail.
- Complies with revisions to responsibilities as needed to fulfill the Foundation’s mission.
- Relates to customers including individual donors and income recipients, Synod department heads, staff of LCMS districts, colleges and seminaries, congregations, legal and financial professionals, and Foundation staff.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years progressively responsible clerical experience in a trust department or related regulatory institution desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Keyboarding.
- Understanding of the Foundation and the various types of trusts and agreements.
- Ability to read and understand complex documents.
- An eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to initiate, plan, manage and prioritize work to achieve defined objectives.
- Discretion and judgment in confidential matters.
- A knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- An understanding of the LCMS ministries.
