We are seeking a passionate and driven Sr. Director to lead our Global Professional Development and Education team. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind bringing our comprehensive professional development strategy to life. Your primary focus will be to curate and expand a world-class education catalog, encompassing both digital and in-person learning experiences tailored to the unique needs of the attractions industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Spearhead the development and execution of a global professional development strategy that aligns with our organization's overarching goals and objectives.
- Curriculum Development: Oversee the design, development, and delivery of a diverse range of engaging and impactful learning programs, including courses, workshops, seminars, and certifications.
- Partnership Building: Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with leading universities, industry organizations, and business partners to enhance program offerings and expand our reach.
- Internal Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across different departments and regions to identify training needs and ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of professional development and education specialists.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in the field of professional development and education, and continuously seek opportunities to innovate and enhance our programs.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:
- Master's degree in Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 8 years of progressive experience in professional development and education, preferably within the attractions or hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful learning programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Passion for fostering a culture of learning and development.
- Experience with eLearning platforms and technologies.
- Familiarity with instructional design principles and methodologies.
- Global perspective and experience working with diverse cultures.
- Imagination and success in education and training.
- Effective communicator.
- Proven budgeting, financial and contract experience.
- Excellent computer skills.
ADA Specifications:
This position is located in Orlando, FL HQ office with 35% domestic and international travel to attend and participate in select IAAPA events. The position requires extensive physical mobility and the ability to hear, speak and communicate audibly.
