What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager position at Intrepid Management?
We are currently seeking a Production Manager to join Intrepid Management. We are searching for a high performing, self-motivated manager to facilitate the production and growth of high-quality products for the patients of Utah. The Production Manager will be actively involved in multiple production operations, performing various tasks in order to produce quality saleable products. Processes will vary between wet, dry, manual, mechanical, and/or autonomized tasks.
The ideal person for this position will have a hard work ethic and willingness to get their hands dirty, continually looking for ways to improve, in the most efficient way possible. A team player at heart, they will collaborate with others in the organization, advocate best practices and roll up their sleeves to pitch in when it's all hands-on deck. They will move fast while paying attention to detail and tap into their problem-solving skills to support the Company’s business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan manufacturing events, lead and monitor for quality, accuracy and completeness
- Understand the nature and manufacturing steps of all products produced
- Utilize and maintain a simple inventory management system
- Create and maintain vendor lists and pricing for all consumables
- Assist with Daily inventory in vaults for ICS/State compliance
- Use in-house standard business tools: Production and daily work schedules, inventory sheets.
- Project management of white label contracts
- Project management of special projects / singular manufacturing / shipping / fulfillment issues.
- CBD website maintenance, basic updates, coupons, order fulfillment, CBD inventory management.
- Perform secondary review of labels, manufacturing and delivery paperwork, orders, inventory counts for accuracy in all aspects
- Monitor, manage, and improve employee productivity and provide constructive feedback, coaching, and progressive discipline as needed
- Participate in order fulfillment events
- Maintain contacts with pharmacy reps for sales
- Perform basic sales functions: send “menus” and emails. Follow up and complete orders and commitments, schedule deliveries
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Carry out quality control procedures
- Accurately maintain logs and records
- Perform all other duties as necessary and any additional duties assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or similar
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
- Must be able to read & write in written English and communicate in verbal English
- Punctual and accountable for attendance in accordance with company policies
- Ability to follow work instructions
- Must meet minimum qualifications for a Cannabis Agent Card
- Must be comfortable working with Cannabis
- A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Previous leadership experience
- Previous experience in a regulated industry
- Good attention to detail and ability to produce work quickly, accurately, and independently
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to accomplish company objectives with either direct or indirect authority
- Excellent prioritization, planning, organization, time management and multitasking skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Must be able to lift or move objects up to 50 lbs
- May involve exposure to chemicals, solvents, smoke, and odors.
- Ability to match colors, assemble small pieces, and adhere to work guidelines
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work follow instructions and work independently
- Frequent bending, lifting, crouching, standing, sitting, use of fine motor skills
Work Environment
Warehouse environment, susceptible to loud noises, fluctuating temperatures, large equipment.
Employees must have normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and must have hearing sufficient to safely operate material handling equipment in a warehouse environment.
Occasionally the position will have exposure to fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, cleaning compounds, solvents, plant debris, plant dust, and offensive smells.
