Location : Primarily field-based, with approximately 30% of time in the office and 70% in the field.Job DescriptionOverview : We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Director of IT to oversee and manage technology operations within our organization, specifically in the retail fuel and convenience store sectors. This role offers strong potential for professional growth, with opportunities for increasing responsibility and a path toward senior leadership as the company’s IT strategy evolves. This position will report directly to the VP of IT.ResponsibilitiesTechnology Management : Oversee and support the PDI back office system to ensure smooth operations and system stability.Manage and maintain Gilbarco and Wayne dispensers, with certification as a plus.Supervise Passport and Commander POS systems; certification is preferred.Network Management : Utilize basic networking knowledge to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve network performance across multiple locations.Collaborate with other departments to identify, evaluate, and implement network solutions that enhance overall efficiency.Leadership and Development : Lead technology initiatives that align with and support company growth and objectives.Develop and implement IT strategies that contribute to the company’s long-term vision.Gain a deep understanding of current systems, processes, and strategic goals, preparing for future leadership roles within the IT department.Technical Support : Provide technical support and guidance to teams.Troubleshoot system and equipment issues and manage technical projects as needed.QualificationsEducation : Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree).Experience : Proven expertise in managing and supporting fuel retail systems, including Gilbarco and Wayne dispensers, and Passport / Commander POS systems.Proficiency with the Microsoft suite.Experience with PDI back office systems is strongly preferred.Field experience is beneficial, with flexibility for frequent on-site visits.Leadership Skills : Demonstrated ability to lead, learn, and adapt to changing business requirements.Ready to take on increasing responsibilities as the IT department expands.Compensation and Benefits : Benefits : Comprehensive health benefits, paid vacation, paid holidays, and a 401(k) retirement plan.Job Type : Full-timeSchedule : 8 hour shiftWork Location : On the road#J-18808-Ljbffr
