Customer Service
- Communicate professionally and courteously with clients and colleagues via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding status updates, rate quotes, and general underwriting information.
- Process title insurance orders received via email or phone.
- Order and track title searches from abstractors/examiners as needed.
- Schedule closings, verify locations and times, and order necessary updates.
- Generate daily and monthly reports as required.
- Oversee accounts receivable and pending files.
- Stay up-to-date on underwriting policies and apply changes as needed.
- Underwrite and process commitments, policies, and endorsements according to quality and production goals.
- Ensure critical title information is entered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with closing attorneys or relevant personnel to record documents.
- Verify and process payments to recording offices.
- Follow up on document recording status as necessary.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in clerical or underwriting roles related to title insurance, mortgage lending, legal support, or loan processing.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of title insurance, real estate transactions, and legal terminology.
- Technical Skills: Strong analytical ability and proficiency in document review and underwriting procedures.
- Organizational Abilities: Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Typing Speed & Accuracy: Ability to type efficiently with precision.
