Our customer is looking for a Technical Business / Systems Analyst to support requirements gathering, documentation, and backlog management for both internal development projects and pilots. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience in business and technical analysis, particularly in data-driven environments. This role requires close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to identify, document, and refine system requirements while ensuring seamless communication across teams.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to capture, document, and refine business and technical requirements
- Create epics, user stories, process flows, and system diagrams
- Work with APIs, integrations, and system workflows to understand business processes
- Interpret SQL queries to support requirements validation
- Define and document system requirements, data dependencies, and functional specifications
- Analyze database structures and data flows to ensure alignment with business needs
- Work directly with business users, operations, and IT teams to understand system behavior and pain points
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to facilitate alignment
- Support the prioritization of backlog items based on business needs
- Track requirements and maintain documentation within JIRA
