About the Role
Iowa 80 Group, Inc., a company known for its commitment to excellence, seeks a qualified Fuel Center Assistant Manager for one of our profit centers. This position will be based at the Iowa 80 Truck Stop in Walcott, Iowa.
The Fuel Center Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and profitable operation of the fuel center and providing exceptional customer service. This includes maintaining a clean and safe environment, managing staff, and upholding the highest standards of customer service. The Assistant manager will also be responsible for training staff on safety procedures and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Additionally, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for delegating tasks to team members and ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Requirements
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, resolving concerns, and maintaining a helpful and professional demeanor.
• Manage, train, and supervise staff to ensure a culture of excellent customer service and efficient operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for both customers and employees.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper handling of materials, wearing PPE, and taking corrective action for unsafe practices.
• Keep all equipment in good working condition and report any problems to the manager.
• Be knowledgeable about other areas of the truck stop and assist customers with directions and information.
• Follow security guidelines and handle customer concerns, including shoplifting incidents.
• Have a foundational understanding of retail sales, inventory, and P&L management.
• Assist the Fuel Center Manager with all day-to-day tasks.
• Ensure Blimpies is running smoothly and efficiently.
• Open availability to work different shifts as needed, weekend and holiday availability a must.
• Availability to work a minimum of 45 hours per week.
Qualifications
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong work ethic and a passion for exceeding expectations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Food experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
