Iowa Orthopedic Center is actively seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. In this role you will welcome patients to our facility, checking them in and out and communicating with our entire staff. Our Front Desk Receptionist team is an integral part of our crew and keeps our clinic locations flowing smoothly.

Hours: Daytime hours
Location: Des Moines Metro
*This role could travel to our various clinics
Key Responsibilities:
- Check patients in including updating demographic and insurance information, complete patient registration, and collect any applicable copays.
- Answer calls, schedule appointments, greet and direct patients and visitors.
- Prepare patient charts and updating as necessary.
- Assist patients with the check-in technology
- Check-out patients, scheduling follow-up appointments and internal referrals as needed.
- Balance daily clinic receipts
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role has:
- High school diploma/GED
- At least one year of previous experience in the medical field
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service in-person and over the phone to all patients, guests and staff
- Basic understand of health insurance and ability to collect copays from patients
