What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Manager position at Iowa State Fair?
The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities. They will maintain and enhance the Fair's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Applicants must meet at least ONE of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree and experience equal to four years of full-time work in one or more professional-level human resources management areas such as employment, recruitment, position classification, compensation, labor relations, collective bargaining, safety, worker’s compensation, wellness, and benefits administration.
- A combination of a total of eight years of education and full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university course work equals one year full-time experience.
- Graduation from an accredited law school.
