In-house patent agent or patent attorney opportunity. Preparation and prosecution of patents, ongoing informal opinions, strategic counseling, & patent portfolio management in biotechnology. Other related IP work would be dependent upon the needs of the IP department and the individual's capabilities.

This is an expanding patent department within a technology-focused, R&D driven company. You will work closely with internal researchers, other patent attorneys, and top management relating to highly innovative new patent families that are of great importance to the company. Portfolio and overall departmental responsibility will grow and be commensurate with experience and demonstrated ability.

Requirements :

• Ph.D. in biotechnology (e.g., Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Cell Biology, or related)
• USPTO license (for agents and attorneys)
• State bar (for attorneys)
• At least 3 years of solid patent preparation and prosecution experience in life sciences that would equip you to autonomously prepare and prosecute highly valued patents while maintaining a solid understanding of the technology pipeline.
