Job Description
We are an injection molding manufacturing company based in Lake Forest, IL, seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Supervisor to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing risks associated with occupational health. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to effectively implement safety protocols across all teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide training and development programs on safety practices, including CPR, first aid, and emergency response.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Stay updated on changes in occupational health regulations and best practices in workplace safety.
- Assist in managing workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with workers' compensation law.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) principles.
- Proficient in CPR and first aid techniques.
- Familiarity with occupational health standards and regulations.
- In-depth understanding of OSHA guidelines and EPA regulations.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation processes and laws.
- Excellent training development skills for creating effective safety programs.
- Strong report writing abilities for documenting incidents, audits, and compliance activities.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey safety information to diverse audiences.
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday.
- Flexibility required as additional hours may be necessary depending on the start and end times, such as arriving early or staying late.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay: $24.00 per hour

Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in a safety or environmental health role is required.
