The Senior Employee Relations Business Partner is responsible for the development and administration of the employee relations program in Huntsville Alabama. Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist and conduct onsite employee relation activities
- Serve as point of contact regarding HR policies and procedures and responsible for guidance to onsite employees to ensure consistent adherence to applicable policies
- Organization and processing of performance reviews twice a year
- Assists management with recommended training, performance concerns, disciplinary action and conflict management issues
- Process offers and conduct onsite new hire onboarding
- Conduct exit interviews to include summarization of findings
- Represent the organization at selected conferences
- Maintain an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company's standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Experience working with Federal Government employees
- Secret Clearance Required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills
- Responsive and organized
- Thorough understanding of best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Experience working with Microsoft O365, particularly Teams
- Experience working with HRIS systems
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Assist in the lifecycle of the recruitment process
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resource management, business or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Five or more years of experience in a position directly dealing with employee relations
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Able to rotate between local work sites/locations (3 days onsite)
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
