Job Duties
- Support the Development team in evaluating and underwriting various project opportunities in the Company’s core California sub-markets.
- Manage early-stage development activities, including feasibility, financial analysis, entitlement, design and permitting.
- Coordinate efforts of development, construction and operations team during design, entitlements, permitting, construction and lease-up.
- Work with the Development team to identify redevelopment opportunities that exist within the Company’s existing portfolio.
- Prepare capital requests, market assessments and development feasibility studies.
- Monitor, research and identify industry trends and innovations that should be considered for implementation in new apartment development projects.
- Interface with third party consultants, city officials, cross divisional representation and the operation’s team.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years experience in finance, real estate development or project management. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
- Valid California driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law. (This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company’s MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position.)
- Frequent standing, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting objects of up to 20 pounds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with an attention to quality, speed and detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Base Pay Range: $71,800.00 - $96,600.00
