The supervisor will ensure compliance with program requirements, provide staff supervision and training, and integrate case management efforts with all project initiatives. The project is focused on Dallas County and serves survivors of Straight-Line Winds DR-4781.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with strategy and planning related to overall program requirements.
- Ensure that disaster case management services are provided according to guidelines and program objectives.
- Supervise Disaster Case Managers, providing training, guidance, and professional development.
- Conduct regular meetings and evaluations to assess performance and address challenges.
- Coordinate and debrief Disaster Case Managers in delivering services to disaster-impacted communities.
- Review case files regularly to ensure compliance with program policies.
- Monitor and evaluate program/service delivery, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
- Assist clients with unresolved issues that cannot be fully addressed by Disaster Case Managers.
- Provide culturally sensitive services tailored to diverse communities.
- Participate in community recovery efforts, including attending recovery group meetings and public speaking engagements.
- Attend regular State Disaster Case Management Program meetings.
- Carry a disaster case management caseload if required.
- Establish respectful and empowering relationships with clients, guiding them in solving recovery challenges.
- Ensure adherence to reporting, compliance, monitoring, and evaluation requirements for the program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Directly supervise Disaster Case Managers, ensuring their well-being and performance.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to support staff development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and resolve conflicts within the team.
- Master of Social Work (MSW) or graduate degree in a related field, preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of case management experience, preferably in disaster recovery or social services.
- Minimum three (3) years of management or supervisory experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities to effectively interact with employees and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills to ensure timely attention to multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills and ability to influence others in difficult situations.
- Ability to work autonomously, make proactive decisions, and manage priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to coordinate quality assurance programs and oversee case file compliance.
- Experience with data collection, report preparation, and program evaluation.
- Familiarity with interviewing techniques and psychological/developmental evaluations.
- Knowledge of community support services, funding agencies, and disaster recovery resources.
- Strong records maintenance and data management skills.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Bilingual ability is a plus.
