JOB TITLE: Tourism Sales Representative
REPORTS TO: Sales & Marketing Manager
DEPARTMENT Group Sales
JOB SUMMARY: A Tourism Sales Representative is the manager of travel trade sales and is responsible for promoting the attraction through 3rd Party Resellers and hotel partners. This position will be responsible for driving visitation and brand awareness through our key local trade partners and partnerships including international receptive sellers, domestic resellers, hotels & additional channels that promote tourists visiting the destination.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Key Account Management: Maximizes current key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer revenue growth.
  • New Account Development: Captures accounts through prospecting, cold calling, networking and research in order to target and solicit those most probable to generate new business.
  • Time Management: Focuses on revenue-producing activity and maximizes selling time by dedicating a minimum 90% work time on direct sales efforts.
  • Account Service and Management: Maintains well-documented, accurate, organized, and up-to-date file management system in order to service client and park in the most expedient, organized and knowledgeable manner.
  • Create a frequency program & visit hotels/concierge desks to ensure the knowledge of the attraction is being distributed to those selling the tickets.
  • Oversee and develop new business in the Youth Tour space.
  • Work with the finance department to distribute tickets & invoice any resellers.
  • Continually targets and prospects for new business through networking, telemarketing, individual creativity and innovation.
  • Ability to provide sales attendance and revenue forecasts as well as analysis of their territory by category.
  • Develops strong customer relations through frequent communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
  • Provide progress reports on a weekly basis regarding accounts. Coordinates with Group Sales Representative and park departments to properly service accounts sold. Assists with daily park operations when needed.
  • Promptly follows-up on all customer needs and inquiries in an efficient and expedient manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in business or marketing and/or equivalent direct sales experience.
  • Prefer a minimum of two years direct sales experience. Experience preferred within the theme park, entertainment, or hospitality industry.
  • Solid sales and business analysis skills.
  • Proven success at increasing sales in a competitive marketplace
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for both internal and external audiences.
  • Expert computer skills and knowledge of business-related software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Customer Relations Management tools experience is a bonus.
  • Demonstrated ability in business and personal organization and discipline skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and accounts in multiple locations and do so within established expense parameters and meet all project deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of park, division, and department information as requested by the company.
  • Capable of working with a team in a casual atmosphere.
  • Must possess valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and 40 hours.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal, drug, alcohol, and social security background check.

  • Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires occasional carries up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a two-wheel hand truck.
  • Requires frequent standing and walking outdoors during summer season.
  • Continuously works indoors with moderate business noise including such machines as phones, keyboards, printers, and copiers.
