About the Role
As the Front Desk Receptionist, you’ll be the first friendly face patients see when they walk through our doors. You’ll create a welcoming environment, guide patients through check-in, answer calls, and ensure everything runs smoothly at the front desk. Beyond that, you’ll play a key role in coordinating referrals and educating patients on Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT) equipment, helping them take the next steps toward better sleep.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Greet patients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued.
- Check patients in for appointments, verify insurance, and collect any necessary paperwork.
- Answer phone calls, assist with scheduling, and provide accurate information about our services.
- Coordinate and process referrals from physicians, ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Educate patients on Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT), walking them through how to use the equipment and what to expect.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, patient chart updates, and maintaining organized records.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a medical front desk or customer service role is preferred.
- A friendly and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfort with educating patients about medical equipment and procedures (we’ll provide training!).
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
