ISM Management Company LLC has an immediate opening, for a full-time Payroll Administrator / Administration Assistant for our fast-paced, professionally managed apartment communities. This position is in Knoxville, Tennessee. This position will report to the Operations Manager/Senior Payroll Administrator.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following, but are not limited to those listed below. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary:
- Payroll processing
- Data entry updates of employee information and monitoring of HR/payroll/employee benefits/attendance database
- New Hire onboarding/termination processing
- HR document compliance/employee file upkeep
- Filing
- Copying, Faxing, Scanning, etc.
- Incoming Phone calls and emails
- Opening and distributing incoming mail
- FedEx
- Ordering supplies and managing supply inventory
- Accounting Administration, such as sealing and stamping checks
- Various projects upon request from senior management, Human Resources, property management, general office, and executive support
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. Three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates Degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Substantial administrative and organizational skills; excellent oral and written communication skills
- Confidentiality is imperative due to the handling of employee records and other sensitive information
- A basic understanding of labor laws and government requirements, at both state and federal levels, is desirable.
- Employee must be able to apply common sense and understanding in certain situations. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Intermediate computer skills are required including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the knowledge of how to operate standard computer equipment, printers, faxes; and related equipment
- Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as salaries, payroll deductions, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages
- Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence. Must have the ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to employees, consultants and vendors
- While performing this job, the employee is required to work in an office environment with some car travel requirements. Proof of valid vehicle insurance and driver’s license required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The employee is regularly required to unload and stock office supply deliveries.
