We are seeking a Career Services Program Director to become a part of our team! You will be responsible for managing your department and providing job development, job placement, and job assistance for students and graduates of the college. The CS director promotes and implements the College's placement assistance by planning and managing company contacts, directing CS staff, advising, and supporting CS staff as well as students and graduates of the college to reach their goal of job placement. The CS Director will also take the lead in developing strategies by identifying and researching current and future placement needs and opportunities of companies hiring in the gulf coast region as well as the needs of the students and graduates. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years’ experience in an HR or staffing role and experience supervising in those settings.

Responsibilities:
- Supports management by providing Career Service guidance, direction, and advice,
- Ability to coach and mentor students and graduates through the process of achieving job placement.
- Understanding of student experience, job placement history and processes, and working with hiring companies.
- Guides staff and student graduate actions by communicating guidelines and enforcing the college's values.
- Leads college’s compliance with all existing governmental and regulatory reporting and record keeping requirements including any related to the college accreditation body, Department of Education Federal and State.
- Maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits.
- Ability to work closely with hiring companies to limit workplace issues to facilitate the success of the student graduate and the college.
- Establishes and maintains the college's records and reports; able to direct others in the organization and adherence to record-keeping guidelines.
- Maintain the college's culture, values and policies.
- Develop, implement and continue workforce strategies, to recruit and develop student graduate placement and job openings fulfillment.
- Teach and mentor students on occasional basis in related topics.
- Coordinate events focused on student graduate recognition, employment opportunities and college promotion.
- Previous experience in Career Services assistance, staffing, recruiting, HR or other related fields
- Experience in personal development of an individual (student graduate)
- Fundamental knowledge of labor and employment laws
- Ability to build rapport with all student graduate and employers
- Strong leadership qualities
- Bachelor's degree preferred
