Contract consulting opportunity for an experienced Scrum Master.
- This role is hybrid onsite (2 days/week), therefore client is seeking candidates local to the Minneapolis, MN area.
- Client work authorization requirements: US Citizen or GC holder
- 5 years scrum master focused experience
- Experience helpings the team improve on agile concepts, mindsets, and process improvements.
- Excellent communication and faciliation skills
- Prioritize the product backlog. Ensures backlog is refined and ready for upcoming sprints.
- Facilitate and support agile events such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Facilitate discussions leading to collective decision-making, goal setting, and conflict resolution within the team.
- Remove impediments or obstacles that hinder the team's progress and escalates issues when necessary.
- Coach team members and project teams on agile principles and practices and incorporates these where necessary.
- Act as a servant leader, supporting the team in achieving their goals while promoting self-organization and accountability.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team by identifying areas of optimization implementing strategies for enhancement.
- Anticipates, mitigates, and resolves risks and conflicts across workgroups through excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master with proven experience in a variety of agile software development environments
- Deep understanding of agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of software development life cycle models and familiarity with traditional project management principles and practices.
- CSP (Certified Scrum Professional) and/or CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or similar Agile certification.
- Jira & Confluence experience and knowledge of agile practices.
