IVX Health is seeking an IT Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security measures that safeguard our organization's sensitive information. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring HIPAA, PCI, NIST, and ISO 27001 compliance, detecting vulnerabilities, and responding to cybersecurity incidents.

What You Will Do
- Security Architecture & Implementation – Design and deploy security architectures across systems, networks, and cloud environments to mitigate security risks.
- Security Monitoring & Threat Detection – Proactively monitor security systems (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS) to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and anomalies.
- Incident Response & Risk Mitigation – Investigate security breaches, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Compliance & Regulatory Adherence – Ensure IT security aligns with HIPAA, PCI, NIST, ISO 27001, and other industry standards.
- Security Infrastructure & Maintenance – Manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and other security tools.
- Technical Documentation & Process Improvement – Maintain security documentation, including configurations, incident response plans, and policies.
- Security Awareness & Employee Training – Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and potential threats.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support – Work with IT, legal, and compliance teams to meet third-party security requirements and internal policies.
- Help Desk Support – Provide second and third-level technical support to resolve escalated security-related issues.
- Perform Additional Duties – Support IT and business initiatives as assigned.
What We Are Looking For
- Security Expertise – Hands-on experience implementing and managing security measures for Microsoft Azure and other cloud environments.
- Technical Proficiency – Strong understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, encryption, and endpoint protection.
- Threat Analysis & Incident Response – Ability to analyze security threats and respond effectively to cyber incidents.
- Network & System Security – Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, OSI model, virtualization, and containerization technologies.
- Scripting & Automation – Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages to enhance security automation.
- Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge – Familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001 security frameworks.
- Communication & Collaboration – Strong ability to work cross-functionally with IT, compliance, and legal teams.
- Detail-Oriented & Solution-Driven Mindset – Ability to proactively identify security gaps and implement corrective measures.
Required Certification, Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in IT security, systems engineering, or systems administration.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security are a plus.
- Experience in healthcare data security and compliance is highly beneficial.
