Major Responsibilities:
The following is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
Customer Service & Student Advocacy:
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong customer service, advocating for student success by addressing and resolving facility-related issues.
- Create an inclusive environment where all individuals feel valued and supported.
- Engage with faculty and staff to identify the root causes of issues and provide timely, professional solutions.
Maintenance Operations:
- Identify and assess the need for repairs and upgrades to campus facilities, ensuring functionality and safety.
- Assist with the procurement of products and services necessary to maintain secure, comfortable educational spaces.
- Directly manage the Maintenance Supervisor, providing guidance and leadership in overseeing work orders and departmental activities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan for the campus.
- Collaborate with contractors to obtain competitive bids and ensure cost-effective maintenance projects.
- Serve as a backup to the Director of Maintenance & Custodial Operations during emergencies.
Administration & Budget Oversight:
- Oversee and manage the maintenance department's budget, ensuring proper allocation of resources and cost control.
- Supervise and evaluate maintenance staff, fostering professional development and growth.
- Approve the hiring of new personnel within the maintenance department.
- Report directly to the Director of Maintenance & Custodial Operations, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.

Education and Experience:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of related work experience, or an Associate's degree/industry-related certification with 3-4 years of related work experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Extensive experience in HVAC and/or electrical systems.
