IYA Sushi & Noodle Kitchen is looking for a server/bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and great food done right.
Located in the South Hadley Village Commons, we are a trendy, contemporary Asian restaurant that has something for everyone. A sushi lovers paradise mixed with Asian favorites including ramen, hibachi, tempura and Korean BBQ.
Our server/bartenders ensure that customers have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality customer service. This is a dual role with responsibilities as both server and bartender. You will work closely with other wait staff, kitchen, and management to ensure the restaurant is operated efficiently.
- Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests.
- Greets and engage with guests; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
- Present menu to guests and answer questions about menu items, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services as needed.
- Inform guests of any menu changes and daily specials, and make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
- Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen.
- Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers.
- Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
- Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals.
- Prepares customers checks and collects payments.
- Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
- Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Responsible service of alcohol certification
- A team player with a hospitality first mentality and a keen willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk and lift heavy items for extended periods of time
- Two years experience preferred, but we will train the right restaurant candidate who shows a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment
