The primary function for a customer service representative is to serve our customers with the life-cycle process of placing orders. Duties include, but are not limited to: incoming and outgoing calls, new account creation, order set up and management, and payment processing. Representatives will be required to communicate professionally with all customers and co-workers.
Essential Functions:
- Handle a variety incoming and outgoing calls with customers and sales reps.
- Ability to multitask using multiple computer applications/programs.
- Process customer orders in a timely fashion; via online ordering system, email, phone, etc.
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries; via voicemail, email, chat, etc.
- Create accounts, process orders and respond to customer inquiries.
- Research and communicate order status to customers regarding tracking, obtaining quotes, collecting product information, etc.
- Creates return authorizations as requested.
- Process e-commerce orders; involving 3-party sites and creating custom reports.
- Submit tracking for all ecommerce orders.
- Process emergency orders for customers as needed.
- Liaise with leadership as needed for all important matters that require supervisor approval or intervention.
- Build proficiency and strong knowledge base on all product lines serviced.
- Makes suggestions for process improvements and assists with projects as needed
- Knowledge of all aspects of the company including cash sales, department structure, tools, websites, etc.
Work Environment:
This job is located in our Corporate Headquarters in Wixom, MI. Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm EST. This is a full-time onsite position. Not remote & Not hybrid. .
Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or some college preferred
- 2 yrs experience in a fast-paced business to business customer service.
- 2 yrs experience in a sales support or logistics role
- Medical supply exp and/or medical terminology is a plus!
- Previous experience requiring clear and calm communication by phone.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and other computer applications.
- Previous experience requiring the ability to effectively use computer system and maintain accurate records.
