What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant position at J.J. Taylor Companies, Inc.?
We are seeking a HR Generalist.
The ideal candidate will responsible for providing broad-range support in all functional areas of human resources department at facility in which they reside, including recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee relations, job evaluation, benefits administration, employment law, and organizational development and training. Works under general supervision of HR Manager. Primary functions typically require exercising independent judgement. Does not have direct reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer general HR support to the employees in handling of all human resource related activities to include staffing, benefits, compensation, compliance, and employee relations.
- Provide strong HR guidance in dealing with performance issues, utilizing J.J.Taylor policies and procedures to guide the managers in solving employee relations issues.
- Has a clear focus on recruiting the best talent for exempt and non-exempt positions that aligns with our strategic objectives.
- Provide counsel to employees and management to maintain a productive and positive work environment, including career and succession planning.
- Participates in new hire orientation.
- Assist with the maintenance and accuracy of HR data in HRIS.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of Human Resources experience preferred.
- PHR certification preferred.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
