Why this job – CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER:
Financial management firm based in Whitefish, Montana is looking for a Certified Financial Planner to join their firm. The firm has an AUM of almost $2B and constructs their own portfolios. This is not a siloed firm where you are a sole contributor running your own book of business. This firm has a holistic view with a service mentality to their clientele. In this role, you would help clients discuss philanthropic ideas, strategize for taxes, plan estates and have a value added approach. The firm has risk risk-averse strategy to help their clients survive multiple sigma events in the market. The firm does almost no cold calling to bring in new clients due to their reputation.
There is no expectation to bring clients with you in this role.
This is an onsite role in the Whitefish, MT area and must be able to relocate (assistance will be provided).
What You'll Actually Do:
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients through regular meetings to assess their needs and financial goals
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide updates on financial plans to ensure alignment and satisfaction
- Develop and implement customized financial plans tailored to clients' goals by performing in-depth analysis of clients' finances, investments, taxes, and estate planning needs
- Provide tailored investment recommendations aligned with client goals and adjust portfolios based on market conditions
- Offer guidance on tax-efficient strategies for income, investments, and estate planning, collaborating with clients' accountants, attorneys, and other advisors to optimize outcomes
- Adhere to industry regulations, company policies, and the Board's Code of Ethics, ensuring confidentiality of client information
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
- 2-3 years of CFP experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience in Tamarac, Money Guide Pro & Salesforce a plus but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Motivated and driven – Entrepreneurial mindset
- Enjoys being collaborative vs. siloed
