Job Description
Position : Onboarding Mentorship Program Designers
Type : Contract (1099)
Duration : 6 Months
Pay Range : Open to Negotiation
Location : Hybrid in Indianapolis, IN
Overview : We are seeking a talented and versatile team of Learning and Development
L&D) Specialists, Process Improvement professionals, and Curriculum Developers to
design and implement a comprehensive mentorship program for our commercial
construction organization. This initiative aims to improve employee retention, enhance new
hire performance, and streamline training and development processes.
Project Objectives :
Reduce current attrition rates.
Shorten producer ramp-up periods.
Improve new employee Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Key Deliverables :
Define skillsets, including proficiency levels and key performance indicators (KPIs),
for 11 roles.
Develop and update SOPs to align with role-specific curricula.
Create training materials
Establish systems to automate progress tracking and display program metrics.
Train leaders and mentors to use assessment tools to evaluate skill development.
Responsibilities :
Curriculum Development and Instructional Design
Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify
required skills and competencies for each role.
Develop structured training curricula and mentorship resources.
Organize courses and learning modules in the LMS, aligning with company goals
and performance metrics.
Build assessments and rubrics to evaluate employee progress.
Learning & Development (L&D) Support
Lead onboarding, team building , and development initiatives to set new hires up for
success.
Develop and facilitate Train-the-Trainer programs for managers and mentors.
Align training materials with strategic goals for both short- and long-term success.
Provide ongoing support to mentors and trainees during program implementation.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Facilitate communication with department leaders to align training with operational
needs.
Engage high-performing employees to gather feedback and refine training modules.
Coordinate meetings with SMEs, department leaders, and mentors for smooth
collaboration.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in corporate training,
live or synchronous
instructional design, or
L&D, especially in mid-sized or large organizations.
Ability to work with SMEs and department heads to define competencies, KPIs, and
proficiency standards.
Strong project management skills to manage timelines, collaborate across
departments, and deliver quality outcomes.
