Job Description
The VP Human Resources, North America (NA) is a key member of the North America Leadership Team and is responsible for leading strategic HR initiatives across the region while also providing HR counsel to the North America executive leadership team. We are seeking an experienced HR executive to drive strategies that builds and strengthens culture while ensuring efficiency and organizational alignment. Our ideal candidate will have experience leading strategic HR initiatives across our support center, region, and manufacturing sites, and has a proven history of being a trusted, results-oriented, HR leader.
The VP Human Resources - NA provides leadership by proactively identifying regional HR needs and executing plans that deliver results to the regional leadership team and key stakeholders. This position will be a culture carrier for the organization and provides direct support and oversite to the regional HR leadership team.
This role demands a dynamic blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and consultative agility. The VP Human Resources, NA will be a champion for continuous improvement across all HR policies, systems, and processes, ensuring alignment with business goals, ethical standards, and legal frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of uniting business acumen with HR leadership and the ability to implement impactful programs in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

The VP Human Resources, NA reports directly to the North America President with a dotted line to the Global VP Human Resources. The role requires collaboration with the Global HR and International Teams regarding policy, process, and execution.
Member of the North America Executive Leadership Team and Global HR Leadership Team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Job Functions)
The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not limited to, the following:
- Translate business goals into actionable HR strategies with a focus on robust planning, project management, and clearly defined accountability.
- Advise and align with leadership teams to bring HR expertise into business and operational discussions, ensuring alignment between HR strategy and overarching business objectives through strategic partnership and influence.
- Collaborate and communicate with the NA Leadership Team, Global VP of HR, and Global HR Leadership Teams to bring regional HR expertise and perspective into business and operational discussions, ensuring alignment between regional HR strategy and overarching Global HR strategy. Develop policies, practices, and tools, such as HRIS and automated workflows, that advance HR capabilities, drive engagement, and enhance our culture both regionally and globally.
- Build trust and credibility across all levels of the organization by demonstrating transparency, consistency, and active listening to function as an effective problem-solver, change leader, and advocate for the company’s values, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Develop HR leadership, capacity, and capability by leading, developing, and mentoring the NA HR team and overseeing the implementation of innovative and value-creating HR function. Provide overall guidance and support to the regional HR function in areas such as business partnering, talent acquisition, talent management, succession and workforce planning, engagement and retention, talent and leadership development, payroll, and total rewards.
- Lead Talent Acquisition strategy and capability that enhance sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding of top talent at all levels, leveraging innovative recruitment techniques to support current and future business needs.
- Ensure competitive compensation plans for the region by conducting regular market analysis and benchmarking to attract, motivate, and retain top-tier talent, critical to achieving business success.
- Lead innovative total rewards strategies and programs that drive performance, motivation, engagement, and well-being for Team Members, including wellness programs, flexible work arrangements, and recognition programs.
- Drive performance excellence by ensuring the adoption and accountability of effective performance management frameworks and practices. Create a culture built on accountability and “owner’s mindset” and foster a high-performance and positive work environment.
- Build a robust leadership pipeline and enhance the competency of team members across the region and globally through partnership in the creation and implementation of talent and leadership development programs.
- Elevate team member engagement and retention through initiatives that improve well-being, enhance employment branding, and strengthen connections with Team Members, supported by impactful communication strategies.
- Drive organizational effectiveness and efficiency by enhancing HR systems, processes, and infrastructure, such as HRIS and automated workflows, to streamline operations and improve organizational effectiveness in a dynamic growth environment while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize financial and operational efficiency by developing and managing the HR budget and scorecard, utilizing data analytics and reporting tools to enable data-driven decision-making and resource allocation.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to key performance metrics, including affirmative action, succession planning, compensation programs, payroll, and government reporting requirements.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field of study or equivalent
Required Experience:
- 15 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience with 5 years at the senior or executive level
- Experience supporting a business of at least $800 million in a multi-plant environment.
- Experience in food or consumer goods manufacturing, marketing, and distribution
- Demonstrated experience in building a strategic human resource department.
- Broad knowledge and experience in compensation design and implementation, organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, organizational and leadership development, change management, labor relations, payroll, benefits, learning and development.
- Experienced in strategic planning, organizational development, and corporate communications.
- Experienced working with multiple divisions
- Demonstrated self-motivated operator and leader with the ability to constructively challenge the “usual” ways of looking at things and inspire others to do the same.

Preferred Master’s degree Human Resources, Business, or related field, SHRM SCP, SPHR International HR Experience
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Proven thorough understanding of knowledge in regulatory requirements, i.e., OSHA, FLSA, EEO, OFCCP, ERISA, IRS, Immigration, WARN, FMLA, ADA, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of leadership and Team Members
- Strong organizational development and management skills; experienced working with multiple divisions
- Systems skills including experience in HRIS systems.
- Must demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, and Team Member motivational skills.

Additional information
The base salary range for this role is $256,200-$352,300 (Annually). Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards. Jack Link’s provides a variety of benefits to eligible Team Members, including medical, dental and vision benefits, life and disability insurance, 401k participation, paid holidays, and paid time off.
