What are the responsibilities and job description for the BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION SPECIALIST - Get Real Summer Program position at Jackson County?
The Jackson County Health Dept. seeks a candidate for seasonal employment to assist in administering the Get REAL summer program from May-July 2025 for approximately 10-15 hours per week. Regular program sessions will be held on Tues, Wed, and Thurs from June 17th through July 18th, 2025. Training and orientation will be provided prior to program start. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide information for reports, evaluation, and necessary documentation to the JCHD as requested.
- Prepare, plan and implement all behavior management requirements for Get REAL programming.
- Assist with outreach, community events and social media for communication & educational purposes.
- Serve as a mentor/role model for participants and teen mentors in the Get REAL Summer Program.
- Assist in direction/redirection of participants, teen mentors and program assistants, particularly related to behavioral intervention.
- Manage behavioral interventions during all activities related to programming including but not limited to physical activities, appropriate language, field trips, community service projects, etc.
- Attend all scheduled program trainings and staff meetings.
- Other duties as assigned
