What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Professional position at Jackson Hands of Change - Behavioral Health Clinic?
Jackson Hands of Change, LLC has job openings for a full-time Mental Health Professional to join our amazing team. MHP must be able to provide the following performance on the job daily, but not limited to:
- Provide strength-based, solution-focused supportive CPST and PSR services in the community setting to assigned caseload.
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment.
- Identify, enhance, and establish support networks, community awareness, coping strategies,
- and improve functioning in the client's social environments (home, school, work).
- Submit accurate and complete progress notes and contact logs using Share Note according to Agency's Policy.
- Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Uses the appropriate level of intervention with clients.
- Meet with families, probation officers, police, and other interested parties in order to exchange necessary information during the treatment process.
- Returns call and respond to emails promptly.
- Maintains a positive attitude and communicates effectively with staff and clients.
- Acknowledges responsibility to participate in agency growth.
- Must be organized, self-motivated, dependable and have time management skills.
- Dress and demeanor is professional.
- Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work
- Experience providing mental health services in a clinical role, working with high need clients is preferred.
- Experience with Share Note preferred.
- Sincere interest in the health and welfare of those in need of mental and behavioral illnesses.
- Good organizational skills and time management.
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team to meet or exceed agency goals.
Candidate must hold a Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field: Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling. Candidate must possess a strong sense of responsibility, maturity and integrity. Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Must be committed to protecting client’s confidential information, records and reports. Must be flexible and have the ability to function in a demanding and fast pace position. Willing to work in the field without limitations Must be able to pass a drug and TB test. Must be willing to attend meetings as scheduled. Valid Louisiana driver’s license Insured vehicle No driving restrictions.
Licensure supervision available for P-LPC's.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
