Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant from a manufacturing environment to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company. 

CORE TASKS:

• Lead accounting team in the successful execution of closings (monthly, quarterly and year-end) on a timely basis; including but not limited to account reconciliations, margin analysis, and journal entries.
• Work with the Controller and CFO to analyze cost for manufacturing operations.  Experience and expertise in manufacturing costing and SAP.
• Responsible for inventory and finished goods analysis.
• Analyze material usage and hours worked to compare to estimates for various analysis.
• Ensures appropriate internal controls are in place and support effective and efficient financial audits.
• Works closely with Manufacturing Operations to ensure accurate and timely capture of all production costs, and effective analysis of production variances.
•  Participate and add value as a member of the Management Team.
• Engages in effective communication within and across all departments.
• Participate in Company Safety Program through safety meetings, audits, following good safe work practices and maintaining a safety and clean work environment.

Expected (Educational) Qualifications:

·       SAP experience and MS Office.

·       Experience in manufacturing costing and financial analysis

·       Experience in subledger and general ledger management and oversight

·       Experience as a full-cycle accounting professional

·       Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information.

·       Ability to read and understand financial reports.

·       Possess strong discipline to provide accurate and timely data.

·       Must be able to work independently, making sound decisions utilizing good judgement.

·       Impeccable attention to detail, effective problem solving skills.

·       Able to thrive in a fast pace environment.

·       Ability to work well with a team.

·       Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time – accurately, efficiently and effectively.
