JANSON has an opening for a full-time CAD Specialist for its Building and Environments domain located in Fairfax, Virginia. The CAD Specialist will use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop technical drawings, blueprints, or other schematics for our Buildings and Environments domain. Your job duties include translating technical documents into a drawing, evaluating technical design parameters, and working directly with designers, project managers and other fabrication and general contracting professionals. The CAD Specialist must have experience and expertise with a variety of CAD software and strong analytical skills.

QUALIFICATIONS :

The CAD Specialist must have at least five (5) years of experience with a variety of CAD software and strong analytical skills.
SECRET clearance preferred but not required.
You will be responsible for designing technical drawings and creating solutions and specifications which are used for the modernization and transformation of buildings and environments such as offices, workspaces, production facilities, etc.
Exceptional problem solver and interpersonal skills with effective leadership and team building characteristics.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Prepare drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches.

Ensure that elevations and plans are technically sound and correct.

Ensure adherence to established building specifications and standards.

Collaborates with the industrial designers to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs.

Make sure every detail of our plans or drawings are accurate before the building transformation and modernization efforts progress to the next step.

Work with project managers, designers, engineers, and other professionals.

Collect all drawings, data, and notes involved in a project, draft building plans, layout interiors, and the like.

Specify dimensions, codes, production methods, and materials.

Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor fabrication and installation progress and address issues as needed.
