Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized greenhouse, including watering plants and restocking
- Planting and transplanting seedlings in trays or pots
- Assist with unloading and organizing shipments of plants and supplies
- Help maintain a healthy and visually appealing plant display
- Assist with planting, watering, and maintaining a variety of plants in the greenhouse
- Identify and address any pest or disease-related issues with direct supervisor
- Clean and organize greenhouse equipment and tools to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with the team to ensure plants are properly labeled and organized for easy identification
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with plant selection and answering questions
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and passion for gardening and plants
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, work outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-oriented attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of plant care, including watering and fertilizing
