Snowflake DBT Developer

Job Title: Snowflake DBT Developer Location: New York City, NY / Jersey City, NJ (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-time Domain: Banking / Capital Market Mandatory Skills: DBT (Data Build Tool) Snowflake (Cloud Data Warehouse) Airflow (Workflow Automation) SQL / PLSQL Experience & Technical Requirements: 5 years of experience in application development using SQL. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with DBT and Snowflake. Strong Airflow experience is highly preferred. Recent experience as a Senior Data Engineer in public cloud environments (preferably Azure) and cloud warehouses like Snowflake. 3 years of experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development using various tools. Proven experience in cloud-native solutions with Azure, including DevOps CI/CD tools and containers. Experience as a Data Analyst or similar role. Expertise in Data Modeling, process metadata, observability, and monitoring of data platforms. Ability to design scalable data pipelines using modern cloud data stack technologies. ETL process development, data application design, and data pipeline implementation for Operational Business Intelligence Marts. Strong analytical skills for technical metadata, pipeline logs, and data lineage to support data platform operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define observability requirements related to SLA, operational needs, data quality, and proactive monitoring. Ideal Candidate: A Senior Data Engineer with expertise in SQL, DBT, and Snowflake. Strong experience in cloud-native data pipeline development, preferably on Azure. Background in banking/capital markets or financial data is a plus. Comfortable working onsite in NYC/NJ in a fast-paced environment.
