POSITION OVERVIEW :

Our client is a growing e-Commerce channel management agency with an Amazon “super focus”. They are looking to hire a seasoned, detail-oriented, and proactive Demand Planning & Inventory Manager to oversee all aspects of their clients’ Amazon FBA (and other channel) inventory. In this role, you’ll combine analytical expertise with hands-on leadership to ensure data integrity, accurately forecast demand, and smoothly coordinate with internal and external teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in e-commerce supply chain management, excels in high-level problem-solving, and can manage a fast-paced environment with precision and maturity.

Our client is a rapidly expanding eCommerce agency specializing in the Amazon marketplace, managing almost $600M in Amazon sales to-date . They work with medium-to-large consumer products companies in the US and Canada. Verticals they operate in include outdoor apparel, athletic apparel, pet treats, spices & herbs, skincare, beard products, tactical gear, and more.

They have a main office in Torrance, CA (Greater Los Angeles area), a fulfillment center, and a diverse team of nearly 35 members across the US and the globe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Demand Forecasting : Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and seasonality to create accurate demand forecasts.

Inventory Management : Monitor stock levels, replenishment schedules, and lead times to ensure optimal inventory availability.

Supply Chain Coordination : Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and 3PL partners to manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.

Amazon FBA Management : Optimize FBA restock limits, inbound shipments, and storage fees to maintain healthy inventory turnover.

Data Analysis & Reporting : Generate reports on inventory performance, sell-through rates, and forecast accuracy to improve decision-making.

Risk Mitigation : Identify potential stockout or overstock risks and implement corrective actions.

Collaboration : Work cross-functionally with account managers, marketing, and operations teams to align inventory strategies with business goals.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of eCommerce management, with significant experience in demand planning or inventory management

Experience managing an Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central account is preferred

Technical & Analytical Skills

Proven Track Record in Forecasting : Demonstrated ability to create and refine complex forecasting models using tools like Excel or Google Sheets.

Meticulous Data Management : History of conducting data integrity checks, reconciling discrepancies, and accurately accounting for variables like lead times.

Strong E-commerce Acumen : Familiarity with Amazon’s Send to Amazon workflow, cross-border shipping, and fee structures; experience launching and growing accounts in international marketplaces preferred.

Soft Skills & Leadership

Mature Professionalism : Confident communicator who can handle high-pressure situations, pivot quickly when plans change, and maintain a solutions-oriented mindset.

Effective Delegation : Skilled in managing and motivating diverse teams, holding them accountable for performance and continuous improvement.

Attention to Detail : Ability to juggle multiple deadlines while retaining laser focus on data accuracy, compliance, and end-to-end process efficiency.
