The Opportunity ...
The Instructional Designer has a passion for designing and delivering training workshops to customers and internal teams as needed through various methods including online, eLearning, and classroom. Display a passion for training and contribute to creating an open, engaging culture of learning.
- Develop and Conduct training programs for JBT service employees. Evaluate performance of training participants. Provide appropriate feedback and recommendations for follow-up and enhancement of training programs.
- Work with stakeholders on various organization-wide learning initiatives, while understanding and responding to their business needs. Must be flexible in a fast-paced work environment where priorities are constantly changing.
- Collaborates with engineering, technicians, service managers and product experts to design, develop, and create interactive and engaging instructional materials with an emphasis on visual design, develop learning assets in a variety of formats, including but not limited to Instructor Led Training (in person and online), eLearning, job aids, and video programs.
- Develop the learning experience using a systemic design process (ADDIE/SAM) to support continued quality, speed of delivery, and learning reinforcement.
- Develop assessments that measure the success of training programs by providing feedback for improvement.
- Create course documentation including the instructor/student guides for inhouse training and for train the trainer type courses.
- Design and document workflow process and procedures for inclusion in technical manuals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience building learning and development programs.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering training workshops to customers and internal teams.
- Experience creating engaging eLearning modules using authoring tools like Storyline and or Captivate.
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- High comfort level with technology and ability to quickly learn and utilize new software applications.
- Experience developing technical training programs.
- Working knowledge of electrical components and schematics.
- Food equipment maintenance experience is a plus.

- Office and plant environment.
- Walking, sitting, standing, bending, driving, reading, seeing, hearing, speaking, concentrating, and communicating.
- Must be flexible in a fast-paced work environment where priorities are constantly changing.
- 0-10% Travel
