What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Manager – Corporate Finance position at JCPenney?
The Sr Manager, Corporate Finance leads the treasury management function of the Company. This includes leading and directing the daily management and investment of the Company’s capital assets. Additionally, this position is primarily responsible for the accurate forecasting of future company cash surplus as well as shortfalls and making recommendations related to both. The Senior Manager – Treasury reports to the Vice President, Treasury.
Responsibilities
- Manages the Company’s royalty relationships ensuring compliance and proper measurement of cost and profitability
- Manages the Company’s travel and expense and purchasing credit card program, ensuring proper usage and timely and accurate reporting to senior management
- Partners with Procurement in leading efforts to identify and reduce spend where appropriate across the organization
- Performs competitor analysis on all Company competitors, providing regular quarterly updates to members of the Leadership team
- Performs financial analyses of proposed plans and programs under consideration by management and special analyses as required and prepares plans and programs for improving the financial condition of the Company and profitability of its financial operations
- Supports Treasurer in Integration Management efforts providing leadership and performing financial analysis where necessary
- Collaborates with other Finance Department management to ensure consistency across the Department in project and program results.
- Counsels’ management on the implementation and operation of Treasurer's related programs, and, whenever appropriate, disseminates new techniques and approaches to Company management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five to seven years of multi-national corporate experience
- Experience in change management and procurement a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required. Concentration in business administration, economics, finance or accounting strongly preferred
- Multi-unit retail or customer service experience a plus

Pay Range
USD $110,000.00 - USD $157,143.00 /Yr.
