We are seeking a strategic and hands-on National Director of Total Rewards to design, implement, and manage a comprehensive total rewards strategy from the ground up. This role will be responsible for developing innovative compensation, benefits, and recognition programs that align with our business goals, attract top talent, and drive employee engagement. The ideal candidate will have Planful experience to build and analyze total rewards data and ensure our programs are competitive, sustainable, and compliant with regulations.
As a key member of the HR leadership team, this role will collaborate across functions to shape the future of our compensation, benefits, and performance management practices in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a Total Rewards strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives, culture, and values.
- Design and build compensation structures (base salary, variable pay, equity) from scratch, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness.
- Lead the creation of benefits programs that enhance employee well-being and satisfaction, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and voluntary benefits.
- Leverage Planful software to manage total rewards data, conduct financial modeling, and analyze compensation trends to inform decision-making.
- Implement performance-based incentive programs that drive business results and reward high performance.
- Develop and manage recognition programs to foster a culture of appreciation and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with all compensation and benefits regulations, including FLSA, ACA, and other applicable laws.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and leadership teams to ensure total rewards programs are financially sustainable and aligned with business goals.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to stay ahead of industry trends and make recommendations to maintain competitiveness.
- Communicate total rewards programs to employees, ensuring clarity, transparency, and understanding across the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CCP, CBP, SHRM) preferred.
- Over 8 years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, and Benefits, including 5 years in leadership roles and 3 years at the Director level.
- Experience building Total Rewards programs from scratch in a fast-growing or evolving organization.
- Proficiency in Planful or similar financial planning tools for modeling, analytics, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of compensation structures, market benchmarking, and benefits plan design.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to build trust and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements (FLSA, ACA, ERISA, etc.) and best practices in Total Rewards.
- Experience working in high-growth or transformation environments.
- Strong knowledge of equity compensation programs.
- Familiarity with global compensation and benefits programs.
- Ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
