- General Operations Management:
- Oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise the receipt and handling of cash, ensuring accurate and secure transactions.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure timely deposits.
- Implement procedures for cash reconciliation and reporting any discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable:
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Ensure all supplier invoices are paid within discount date
- Monitor monthly account statements from each supplier
- Verify stock receipts match supplier invoices
- Investigate and document discrepancies
- Accounts Receivable:
- Manage customer payments and match to invoices
- Monitor and follow up on customer payments.
- Place accounts on hold according to [past due policy]
- Maintain customer account balances and statements
- Managerial Reporting and Expense Tracking:
- Prepare and review operational reports to support decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze company expenses, providing insights on cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of expenses.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on operational data.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor cash balances and report any irregularities.
- Assist in cash flow management.
- Assist in both internal and external audit processes.
- Data Entry and Record-Keeping:
- Enter financial transactions into the accounting system.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Assist in the documentation of accounting processes.
- Audit Support:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related experience
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with accounting software Great Plains
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
