What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Jefferson Capital Systems?
ABOUT THE JOB:

As a Senior Accountant, you will play an important role with helping to carry out the accounting functions of our U.S. operations and to consolidate the global financial results.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Perform all related accounting functions required to maintain the general ledger in compliance with GAAP, company policies and procedures
- General ledger accounting in both USD and foreign currencies
- Assist with month end close process, performing analysis and booking accruals and other entries
- Reconciliation of bank statements and other balance sheet accounts, applying a working knowledge of wire, ACH and EFT monies transfer to/from banks and clients
- Assist with fixed asset accounting
- Assist with sales and use tax as well as 1099 reporting
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 3 years accounting related experience
- Financial reporting, including cash flow statement knowledge
- Excellent computer and Excel skills including creating and utilizing reports
- Analytical and critical reasoning skills
- Intellectual curiosity, ability to self-motivate, and work independently as well as on a team
- Possess a strong work ethic and high ethical standards
Bonus Qualifications:
- Public accounting experience
- Process improvement mindset
- Multi-currency environment
- Financial services or collection experience
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains and/or Business Central
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
