RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in monitoring and evaluating financial systems, including: collecting, verifying, analyzing, and reporting on financial information to help the organization make well-informed financial decisions
- Oversee monthly journal entry preparation and review
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc reporting for special projects
- Review and analyze monthly balance sheet accounts
- Review and analyze monthly financial statements for all divisions within the company
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining strong internal controls within the organization
- Assist in yearend audit preparation and other financial reporting requirements
- Recruit, hire, and supervise accountants. This includes coordinating training programs and identifying training needs of staff
- Assist in reviewing processes for potential efficiencies within the department

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Relevant experience may be substituted for education
Experience:
- Medical office exposure preferred but not required
- Computerized accounting software
- Accounting processes and flows
Certification/License:
- N/A

- Communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Solve problems
- The ability to not only report financial results but also analyze those results for potential opportunities for improvement
- Work independently but also as a team
- Good organizational skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Normal medical office environment. Potential for some overtime during month end close and for special projects
