We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department's daily operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities
- Oversees Accounting operations, which include financial accounting, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
- Manage tax reporting and compliance, ensuring all filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial transactions for accuracy.
- Maintain proficiency in financial software to streamline accounting processes.
- Implements training for new hires and identifies training opportunities for current staff.
- Identifies and recommends updates to accounting processes and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills
- Proficiency in financial software applications relevant to accounting functions.
- Solid understanding of financial accounting concepts, including debits and credits.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills to collaborate across departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required .
- Five years or more of related experience required.
- Certified Public Accountant designation highly preferred.
