Jefferson Community College, Watertown, New York, part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, is conducting a search for a full-time, Coordinator-Athletics. The Coordinator-Athletics supports the Director of Athletics in the management of the Athletics Department by enhancing the athletic program and overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a culture of excellence and safety. This role includes managing athletic facilities, coordinating events, and engaging the community through effective communication and outreach. Additionally, the Coordinator plays a vital role in social media management to enhance program visibility and engagement, oversees budgets, allocates resources, and manages inventory to ensure the efficient and equitable distribution of equipment and supplies. Committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing environment for athletes, coaches, and the community, the Coordinator aligns all efforts with the college and department's mission and goals.
The Coordinator will work with the College's leadership to advance the mission of the current Strategic Plan. The position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. It involves a combination of office work and active participation at athletic facilities. A flexible schedule is required, including evening and weekend work to attend practices, games, or events.
Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
Preferred: Master's degree and experience in higher education or related field.
Salary: $47,589/yr. for well-qualified individuals. Salary is determined based upon experience and education as well as internal equity.
