Job Summary
The Jefferson County Attorney’s Office (JCAO), located in Louisville, Kentucky, seeks an Administrative Clerk to perform a variety of clerical, recordkeeping, courier and customer service tasks to assist with the smooth operation of the Jefferson County Attorneys Office’s civil and criminal divisions. The position will include ensuring the prompt pick-up and delivery of important documents between JCAO and the court system.
Requirements
- The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Have the ability to type
- Have a basic understanding of office equipment
- Have the ability to work independently and identify and solve problems.
- Communicate effectively in person and over the phone and manage a switchboard
- Employee will reguluarly be required to walk a distance of at least two blocks in various weather conditions
- Employee will reguluary be required to maneuver a loaded cart by pushing or pulling
- Have the ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds.
Responsibilities

- provide coverage for receptionist and answer switchboard
- ensure the prompt pick-up and delivery of important documents between JCAO and the court system and between divisions
