Job Details

Leads a team of data analysts who focus on medication use, costs, and outcomes. Works closely with pharmacy leadership to identify data and metrics to meet Pharmacy’s goals. Expected to be entrepreneurial and creative to provide cutting edge information. Must be a registered pharmacist in either Pennsylvania or New Jersey.

Job Description

  • Provide direction and support for Pharmacy’s strategic initiatives across Jefferson.
  • Manage and develop assigned direct reports.
  • Develop and implement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of business and other healthcare processes and interventions. Monitor and report on performance outcomes to identify areas for improvement and track progress over time.
  • Conduct ad-hoc reporting to facilitate business programs. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Assist business in identifying trends for performance improvement, including business capture, operational efficiencies and cost reduction.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g. HIPAA) and maintaining compliance with data security and privacy standards. Implementing appropriate safeguards to protect sensitive healthcare and business information.
  • Analyze and interpret data and results from external organizations, such as, but not limited to, URAC, TJC, Pharma Data Aggregators, Pharmaceutical & Biotech Manufacturers, Third Party Payers, Wholesalers, TPA’s etc. Actively participate in business initiatives tied to operations, growth, quality, accreditation, finance, etc.
  • Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Office Applications.

Strong understanding of relational database fundamentals.

Problem solving skills, including the ability to work independently and systematically to analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions, and successfully collaborate to devise and/or implement solutions effectively.

Established ability to manage multiple initiatives, shifting back and forth effectively among activities, to produce positive results in a dynamic and growing environment. Ability to pivot and re-prioritize as needed.

Understanding of healthcare data systems, such as EHRs, claims management, and clinical & operational databases is preferred.

Knowledge of Qlik, Tableau, Power BI or similar is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Registered Pharmacist in Pennsylvania or New Jersey required
  • BS in Pharmacy REQUIRED, an advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years hospital pharmacy and information systems preferred
