Position Overview:
Jenda Family Services is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic HR Specialist – Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the recruitment and retention efforts, enhancing our hiring process, and managing the onboarding experience for new staff in both our Lincoln and Omaha offices. The ideal individual will be passionate about finding top talent, building relationships with educational institutions, and fostering a positive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead recruitment efforts, including organizing career fairs at local colleges such as UNL, UNO, Nebraska Wesleyan, Concordia, Doane, and Union College.
- Utilize social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to attract qualified candidates.
- Advertise job openings on really.com and other relevant employment websites.
- Review applications and resumes submitted to Jenda Family Services.
- Schedule and conduct interviews, ensuring a smooth and professional process for all applicants.
- Make hiring decisions or communicate feedback to applicants who interviewed.
- Schedule and coordinate training dates with contracting agency.
- Monitor local and national trends, conduct staff surveys, and identify barriers to staff retention to improve employee morale and job satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or human resources.
- Strong knowledge of recruiting methods and tools, including job boards, social media, and networking.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships with academic institutions, staff, and potential candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent) preferred.
