What are the responsibilities and job description for the Uniform Room Seamster/Seamstress position at JERRYS NUGGET INC?
Job Summary:
Work as part of the wardrobe team to alter and construct employee uniforms in a timely manner, adhering to Company policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
· Operate a sewing machine to join, gather, hem, reinforce and construct uniforms
· Fit, measure and perform all other necessary alterations to Company issued uniforms
· Measure employees for size, using tape measure, tailors chalk, and pins
· Maintain equipment and report damage or broken equipment immediately
· Assess quality of all linen and uniforms by inspecting garment for rips and stains
· Assist employees with accepting and distributing uniforms
· Clean and press laundry using commercial-grade equipment
· All other duties that may be assigned
Work Environment:
· Must be willing to work any shift when necessary, including weekends and holidays
· Must be able to work in close quarters or small rooms and occasionally be exposed to hot or humid conditions
