Position Summary
The Lead, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) plays a key role in driving impactful results for JetBlue Travel Products (JTP) by leveraging search engine optimization strategies. This role focuses on enhancing awareness, increasing organic traffic, and driving conversions across all owned platforms, including JetBlue Vacations and Paisly by JetBlue. Responsibilities include conducting site audits, blog writing/posting, keyword research, competitive analysis, link building, and content marketing. The Lead, SEO will develop and execute SEO strategies to support JTP’s growth objectives across its product lines. The ideal candidate will work closely with JetBlue’s Creative, Marketing, and Technology teams to ensure SEO efforts align with organizational goals and contribute to overall business success.
Essential Responsibilities
Design and implement all-encompassing SEO strategies aimed at enhancing search engine rankings and boosting organic website traffic.
Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for SEO efforts across the JTP portfolio of products.
Continuously evaluate and optimize existing SEO methodologies to ensure they align with organizational goals and initiatives.
Create engaging, SEO-optimized content and social media posts to drive organize traffic and enhance brand visibility.
Collaborate with integrated content marketing efforts across multiple platforms.
Partner closely with the Paid Media and Public Relations teams to foster unified digital marketing campaigns.
Leverage inventive strategies and analytical insights to improve organic traffic and conversion rates.
Proactively identify on-page SEO opportunities, including writing blogs and SEO-driven landing pages so support all KPIs.
Perform regular and comprehensive site audits.
Responsible for the improvement of converting organic search traffic.
Work with Commercial, Marketing, and Creative teams to determine key word content opportunities.
Oversight of content calendar and the creation and publishing of all editorial copy within the relevant JTP sites to maximize high impact content on the site.
Other complex projects and duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience.
Three (3) years of hands-on SEO experience.
One (1) year of leadership experience.
Proficient in industry-standard SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and other related platforms to analyze data, monitor performance, and optimize strategies.
Background in digital agency or comparable fast-paced environment.
Strong project management skills.
A detail-oriented mindset combined with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Understanding of strategic media/marketing principles and ability to link commercial strategy to content strategy.
Ability to work autonomously as well as being a part of a collaborative Marketing team.
Proficient with Google and/or Microsoft Office suite.
Proficient in Google Analytics, able to read, interpret and analyze complex data sets using multiple tools including but not limited to Google Looker Studio.
Excellent communication skills; translating quantitative insights to a diverse group of stakeholders.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to build and nurture relationships.
Can thrive in a dynamic and face-paced work environment.
Available for occasional overnight travel (10%).
Must pass a ten (10) year background check.
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Previous airline or travel industry marketing experience, or ecommerce retail industry.
Four (4) years of experience supporting SEO for another related space or agency.
Crewmember Expectations
Regular attendance and punctuality.
Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice.
Able to maintain a professional appearance.
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.
