Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping
· Accurately record financial transactions to include receipts, invoices, and payments.
· Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy
· Reconcile bank statements
Financial Reporting
· Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash
flow statements
Tax Preparation and Compliance
· Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations
· Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations
· Advise clients or employers on tax planning and strategies to minimize tax liabilities
Payroll Processing
· Calculate and process payroll, including deductions and taxes, ensuring compliance
with regulations.
Qualifications and SkillsEducation
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Experience
· Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role
· Experience with QuickBooks Desktop/Online
· Experience in retail operations, preferably within the fuel industry
Skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
