Overview
The Central Jersey Medical Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Perth Amboy, Newark and Carteret, NJ. We are currently looking to hire a full-time Staff Accountant. CJMC is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer, and we provide a great work environment.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash teller operations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare budgets, financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Generate financial reports for management, providing analytical insights and recommendations for financial planning and decision-making.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, recurring invoice set ups and liaison with clients AP departments monthly to ensure timely payments.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for various departments.
- Monitor budget performance, provide variance analysis, and recommendations for cost control.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Provide effective financial growth recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Proficiency in financial management, accounting & billing software Microsoft Suite, FundEZ and ERP systems.
- Proficiency ADP payroll systems.
- Knowledge of Non-Profit Accounting Preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
